Afghan Folk Music At Risk Of Dying Out: Musicians


A number of musicians from Koche Kharabat, on the outskirts of Kabul, where musicians traditionally lived, on Thursday spoke out about what they claim is government’s lack of attention to traditional Afghan folk music.

They said they are afraid traditional Afghan folk music will eventually become something of the past unless support is given.

The musicians say they are trying hard to keep the culture of folk music alive.
