Afghan Football Officials Unhappy With Facilities In India

Afghanistan’s national football team will come up against Bangladesh in their first South Asian Football Championship match on Thursday in India.

However, Afghan football officials have expressed their distress over what they say are poor facilities – including the hotel – provided to them by Indian officials.

They say they have lodged a complaint with the Asian Football Confederation.

Despite these issues Afghanistan football assistant coach Ali Askar Lali said that the national football team is ready to take on Bangladesh and that the team is in high spirits.

The South Asian Football Championships will be held in Thiruvananthapuram city in India and Afghanistan, as defending champions in the second group, will go up against Bangladesh, India and Bhutan. They will play Bangladesh on Thursday evening.
