Afghanistan Beats Netherlands in T20 World Cup Qualifying Match

The Afghanistan National Cricket Team defeated Netherlands in a 20-overs World Cup qualifying match on Thursday.

Afghanistan won by 32 runs after the Netherlands team won the toss and elected to field first.

Played at Edinburgh, Scotland, the second match of the Group B was important for Afghanistan to make way to the 2016 World Cup.

Afghanistan set a tough target of 163 runs by losing its seven wickets following a wonderful performance by Samiullah Shenwari who scored 44 runs out of 42 balls.

Mohammad Nabi and Najibullah Zadran, scoring 33 runs each, were the other two main contributors to the total score.

The entire Netherlands team was bowled out for only 130 runs when Afghan fast bowler Dawlat Zadran took three wickets and restricted ‎the opponent team to 130 runs.
