Afghanistan, China Sign Three Cooperation Agreements


Afghanistan and China signed three agreements of mutual cooperation on Tuesday after the Chinese Vice President Li Yuanchao arrived in Kabul.

The agreements were signed on security, reconstruction and education cooperation.

President Ashraf Ghani said at the event that China will build 10,000 apartments for the families of victims of Afghan Army and Police.

China once again promised to provide the Afghan students with 1,500 scholarships next year, Ghani continued.

On his turn, Li Yuanchao praised the friendly relations between Afghanistan and People’s Republic of China.

He reiterated that China will continue to help the Afghan government in leading the peace process with the Taliban.
