Afghanistan Defeats Pakistan to Win Snooker Doubles Championship

Afghanistan’s Saleh Mohammad Mohammadi and Ezmarai Hasas claimed the Two-Player Snooker Championship title in Karachi on Saturday after defeating their Pakistani opponents 5-3.

The snooker championship was attended by more than 70 players, representing 18 different countries.

“After defeating India, we made our way to semifinals, and in the first semifinal, the Pakistani players defeated Britain and entered the final,” Snooker Federation head Mohammad Aziz Azami explained on Saturday.

The two-player final match was close, but, according to Azami, Afghanistan’s players were “superior” to their Pakistani opponents.

Although Afghanistan proved victorious in the two-player games, in the larger team games, Afghanistan lost after making to the round of eight.
