FARAKHABAR: Carter Reaffirms U.S Commitment to Afghanistan


At a joint press conference with President Ashraf Ghani in Kabul on Tuesday, the Secretary of Defense Ash Carter said both the United States and its allies intended “to remain fully committed to the Resolute Support Mission here.”

“I have confidence in the ability of Afghan forces to provide the security and stability that the Afghan people deserve. The presence of U.S. forces in Afghanistan will enhance our ability to continue progress on our two central missions in Afghanistan,” Carter added.
