FARAKHABAR: Delay Over Appointing of Attorney General is Govt's Weakness


The Independent Joint Anti-Corruption Monitoring and Evaluation Committee (MEC) termed the delay in appointing of an Attorney General as the government’s weakness, and that high-ranking posts have been given to those who are relatives of MPs and powerful figures.

The committee also said that the appointment of individuals in top posts by MPs and powerful figures, corruption in former leadership of Afghanistan Investment Supporting Agency (AISA) and lack of paying power bills by powerful people in Kandahar province are examples of corruption in public office.
