The Shah Shaheed truck bomb, the Kabul Police Academy suicide bombing and the Qasaba attack followed only a week after the Taliban announced the appointment of the late Mullah Omar’s successor – Mullah Mansour.
The main concern however is that the first of the three blasts, hit a densely populated residential area, killing at least 15 people and injuring over 400 civilians.
