Four Pakistani Insurgents Killed in Nuristan Clash: Border Officials

At least four Pakistani insurgents were killed in a clash with security forces in eastern Nuristan province, local officials said on Sunday.

In addition, three other insurgents were injured.

The clash took place after insurgents allegedly crossed the Durand line and opened fire on border police, border police officials in Nuristan said.

“The insurgents attacked the forces and were faced with a strong response from border police. Four of them were killed and three others injured,” said officials.

The officials said no casualties among border police or civilians had been incurred during the clash.
