Ghani Condemns Attack On German Consulate

President Ashraf Ghani condemned the attack on German Consulate in Mazar-e-Sharif city in Balkh province, which left four dead and over 100 wounded, a press statement sent by Presidential Palace said on Friday.

Ghani in the statement said the attack is an act of Afghanistan’s enemies who are against improvement and freedom in the country.

“Afghanistan’s enemies, who are against all international and human laws and are committing crimes against humanity by attacking public and diplomatic places, should realize that this act [their attack on German Consulate] will not weaken the will of Afghanistan and Germany in their combat against terrorism,” Ghani said.

He said these kinds of terrorist attacks cannot be done without others’ support.

He added that terrorist groups and their supporters should realize that they will be chased.

Ghani condoled with victims’ families and wished swift recovery for those injured in the attack.

This comes after Taliban by issuing a statement claimed responsibility for the attack on German Consulate in Mazar.
