Land Dispute Leaves Two Dead, 10 Injured In Paktia

Nearly two people were killed and 10 others wounded in a land dispute between two tribes in Gardez city in Paktia province, local officials said Friday.

Paktia governor spokesman Naqibullah Atal said the clash occurred near an army corps in the city.

It is said that an army officer who was a resident of the area was among those killed in the dispute.

The spokesman said that security forces have arrived in the area and that the situation has turned normal there.
