Mazar-i-Sharif Blast Leaves One Dead, 14 Wounded


At least one civilian was killed and 14 others including a child and three women were injured in a suicide attack in Mazar-i-Sharif city, Balkh province on Tuesday afternoon, local officials said.

The officials said the blast took place at around 12.50pm local time near a busy market in the city.

Confirming the casualties, Noor Mohammad Faiz, a doctor at Mazar-i-Sharif Hospital, said they have received one dead and 14 wounded following the explosion.
