mehwar-6-feb-2016

The budget for the High Peace Council (HPC) has reportedly been cut by donor countries. HPC members confirmed the report and said a lack of chairman and some other problems in the council have resulted in a cut in its budget.

Analysts meanwhile believe that the HPC has not made any considerable achievement in the peace process so far.

In this episode of Mehwar, host Haris Jamalzada discusses the impact of this move by donors on the HPC and the peace process itself.

With him in the studio is Mohammad Naeem Nazari, head of a civil society organization in Afghanistan.
