Hundreds of protestors on Friday blocked a road linking Kabul to nine provinces in the north over the besiege of at least 200 soldiers by the Taliban – the majority of them from Baghlan province.
The soldiers have been under Taliban siege for ten days and government so far has done nothing to ensure their release.
Protestors said that 20 of the soldiers have been killed, 30 wounded. They warning not to open the road for traffic unless soldiers are brought to safely.
The protests have stopped traffic on the road causing huge problems for travelers.
