Close on the heels of the RAPL football tournament, and ahead of their semi-finals and finals, the 2015 RAPL Women’s Tournament will kick off in Kabul on Saturday.
Their tournament will run through until October 2.
Four teams are participating from Kabul, Balkh, Bamiyan and Herat provinces to compete for the title in the second annual RAPL Women’s Tournament Cup.
Last year, the tournament was a major step forward in promoting football among Afghan women and this year it is shaping up to be another exciting tournament in the women’s division of the RAPL. Kabul, the defending champions from last year, will face Bamiyan in the opening game of this season on Saturday. Herat will go against Balkh in the second game on Sunday.
The two teams with highest aggregate scores will move on to compete for the 2015 RAPL Women’s Tournament Championship at the finals on October 2.
All the matches are scheduled to take place in the mornings at 10:00 and the attendance will be strictly open only to women and families.
The tournament will broadcast live on TOLO TV, Lemar TV, Arman FM, and Arakozia FM. The important updates will be covered live on RAPL website and all RAPL social media platforms.
