Kabul’s Shaheen Asmayee defeated North’s Mawjhai Amu 3-2 in the first leg of the Roshan Afghan Premier League’s (RAPL) second semifinal on Sunday.
In the run up to the final game, Asmayee began a fast play and scored an early goal in the second minute that came through Samiullah Mohammadi.
Despite failing to score a goal, a penalty kick awarded in the 33rd minute, Mawjhai Amu could make the equalizer goal before the first half ended 1-1.
Asmayee once again made its fans cheerful when its midfielder Sayed Mohammad Hashemi scored the team’s second goal in the 48th minute.
It was in the 66th minute when Kabul players were awarded a penalty kick and the scorecard became 3-1 before Amu’s Ahmadi scored his team’s second goal in 76th minute.
The match ended 3-2 for Shaheen Asmayee, making its position stronger for the second leg.
The first semifinal’s first leg was played on Saturday in which De Maiwand Atalan beat De Spinghar Bazan 1-0.
All four semifinalists need to play one more match each to complete the second leg games and the two winners will go to the finals.
