In a meeting with NATO officials in Belgian in Brussels, President Ashraf Ghani’s national security advisor, Mohammad Hanif Atmar hailed NATO’s efforts helping in the restoration of long term peace and stability in the war-ravaged country.

He said that Afghanistan doesn’t rely on a single country or single strategy for maintaining peace, but that the country strives to engage regional consensus for peace.

Atmar’s statement comes soon after Pakistani officials gave the green light to restart Afghanistan’s peace process.
