Two Civilians Killed in Kandahar Roadside Mine Blast


At least two civilians were killed in a roadside mine blast in southern Kandahar on Saturday evening, local officials said.

In addition, six other people were injured in the blast.

The incident took place in Maiwand district of the province after a bus struck a roadside mine killing the two civilians, Kandahar Media Office said in a statement.

“A seven-year-old girl is also among the injured,” it said.

No group including the Taliban has claimed responsibility for the incident.
